Treatment-resistant depression (TRD) is a severe form of depression that does not respond to traditional treatments. Fortunately, there is hope for those who suffer from TRD in the form of deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (Deep TMS). You can schedule a free consultation with our TMS coordinator.
Deep TMS is generally safe and well- tolerated. Unlike antidepressants, which can cause side effects such as weight gain, sexual dysfunction, and digestive problems, Deep TMS does not have these side effects.
Depression can be a debilitating illness that can greatly impact an individual’s quality of life. While traditional treatments such as antidepressants and therapy are effective for many individuals, there are some who suffer from TRD. Deep TMS is a safe and effective treatment option for individuals with TRD. Clinical studies have shown that Deep TMS is effective in improving depression symptoms in individuals who have not responded to traditional treatments. If you or a loved one suffers from TRD, talk to your doctor to see if Deep TMS is an appropriate treatment option.
